Portland City Hall Elopement

May 1, 2019

It’s always amazing when you get to capture the wedding of a family member and I was so happy when my cousin Dave asked me to capture his Portland Maine elopement. Let me tell you, these two put the most beautiful personal touches on this charming Maine elopement. The Portland Maine City Hall is absolutely stunning and sets the most charming backdrop for their simple nuptials. It truly reminds me a lot of the City Hall in San Francisco, which is the most popular place to elope! It seems like a little known secret that this is a special place to get married and I’m so honored to have been able to capture this day for them.

After a simple ceremony with immediate family, Dave and Ally took time to hang out and enjoy the light filled architecture of this historic building. It was amazing to see the city hall in action as people where hustling to make things happen around us. A crossroads of life events!

As they exited City Hall to a cloud of bubbles, they headed to an intimate lunch with family. I met up with them a little later for portraits at the stunning Button Light House. I love how the design has a wedding day feel to it. This wedding was a perfect example of choosing details that supported a relaxed elopement with character.
